More precisely, I will present the postulates of quantum mechanics and we will discuss the following notions: state vector (and its probabilistic interpretation), Hamiltonian (=unitary) evolution, the problem of measure, composite systems, entanglement, EPR paradox. If there will be time, I will mention Bell’s inequalities (proved to be violated by QM, thanks to Aspect’s experience).
In order to avoid useless technicalities, I will mostly provide finite-dimensional examples: the mathematical background requires linear algebra only.

When : 03/02/2023 Friday at 2pm

Where : 4.05 Luminy TPR2

qm1Télécharger

Abstract: In this lecture, I will explain the basic notions of the formalism of quantum mechanics.
